Abrante Viewpoint

The Abrante Viewpoint has already become a must see for any tourist visiting the rugged island of La Gomera. The project was designed by Canarian architect José Luis Bermejo and opened in January 2013. The viewpoint is located on the cliff of Abrante, 620 meters from sea level.
The function of a viewpoint is to allow, precisely, to look towards a place to be able to take the best photos and observe at a distance what closely does not have the same charm.
In this case the Mirador de Abrante fulfills a double function. On the one hand it is the best place to have incredible views of the island of Tenerife with Teide as the protagonist from La Gomera. And on the other hand, the Mirador de Abrante is an attraction in itself. Its architectural design makes it worthwhile to be there even when the fog or the "calm" doesn''t allow you to see anything.
While you look at the tip of your feet, four hundred meters below, and in the absence of clouds, you see the Agulo Valley.
The viewpoint has a seven-meter glass walkway over the void where you forget about vertigo after the second step. The floor and the glass walls allow us to have views to all sides. The truth is that it is a very good idea.
