Everyone has their Everest. The Alto Garajonay was ours during our stay in La Gomera. Not every day you reach the highest point of a place. We achieve this by following a path suitable for summit seekers of our caliber.
The Alto Garajonay is about 1487 meters above sea level and there is the main archaeological site of the Garajonay National Park and from where you can also have stunning views of other islands such as El Hierro, La Palma or Tenerife.
Once you arrive at the highest point if you are lucky and the calm and clouds allow you to enjoy the views. And do not forget the Chipude Fortress, another particular geographical accident that you will see from up there.
