The best starting point to get to know La Gomera by bicycle is its port, located in the capital, San Sebastián de la Gomera, at the eastern end. Here begins the return to the summits of the island, a beautiful ascent marked by an arid landscape that changes as soon as you cross the tunnel that leads to the Hermigua Valley. Green and leafy, it allows you to enjoy the laurel in all its splendor, until you descend to the coast, the famous davit and the town of Agulo.

Ascent to the Garajonay highs

After restoring forces in Agulo, the next challenge is to reach the highs of the Garajonay National Park, the top of the island, at 1,340 meters high. A climb of 42 kilometers intense and curvy, which is reached after taking the detour in the direction of Game Balls, the visitor center of the park. Back to San Sebastián, what he expects is a long and continuous descent, with curves and views as impressive as those of the emblematic Roque Agando, a large volcanic rock, symbol of the island.
